The Strategic Youth Network for Development (SYND) launched the YGE project to alleviate young unemployment by promoting green entrepreneurship. Its key goals include generating green jobs, increasing young participation in climate solutions, and promoting information exchange in the green economy.
Funders and partners are encouraged to collaborate with the YGE programme through various channels, including investment in green innovations, mentorship of young entrepreneurs, and providing technical or financial support for scaling projects.
The YGE program showcases a variety of green innovations produced by young entrepreneurs, including the manufacturing of cleaner energy fuels (e.g., briquettes and pellets), the promotion of renewable energy alternatives, and the recycling of plastic trash. Projects are grouped into many sectors i.e .Renewable Energy, Sustainable Agriculture,Recycling.
YGE invites funders, mentors, and stakeholders to actively engage in its mission to empower young green entrepreneurs. Opportunities to get involved include providing funding to support youth projects, offering mentorship and expertise, and contributing to the growth of the green economy by investing in innovative solutions.
