Introduction

Ibanewel Farming Enterprise is dedicated to transforming communities through innovative mushroom production and sustainable agricultural practices. For the past five years, we have empowered youth and women by harnessing the potential of mushrooms, an endeavor that has earned us top honors at an International Business Plan Competition.

Since our inception in 2018, Ibanewel Farming Enterprise has focused on environmentally friendly practices and groundbreaking research. Our innovative use of mushroom waste as organic fertilizer for vegetables, conducted from 2022 to 2024, underscores our commitment to sustainable agriculture. In 2023, we expanded our product line to include Charcoal Briquettes and biochar fertilizer, providing clean cooking fuel and promoting a shift away from inorganic farming systems. These products support healthier environments and more sustainable community practices.

Based in Ghana, Ibanewel Farming Enterprise operates with a vision of expanding our impact locally and beyond. Our initiatives are strategically designed to enhance production capacity, create jobs, and foster environmental sustainability within our communities. Founded by Mr. Banewel Isaac, a distinguished Young Innovator recognized by the UNDP Young African Innovates program in 2024, Ibanewel Farming Enterprise has demonstrated how innovation and dedication can drive positive change. Our journey has been marked by strategic growth and impactful initiatives, culminating in our recent win at the GIZ Green Business Competition 2024. This recognition highlights our potential to further enhance production capacity and expand our reach.
