MLC Fashion is a pioneering force in sustainable fashion, transforming plastic and fabric waste into stylish and eco-friendly fashion accessories. Our products, including tote bags, fans, and pouches, are designed to reduce plastic and fabric pollution while offering unique and fashionable alternatives.

Situated in Accra, Ghana, our workshop is a hub of creativity and sustainability. Our strategic location allows us to source plastic waste locally, turning a community problem into an opportunity for positive change. By doing so, we contribute to the local economy and provide meaningful employment opportunities.

MLC Fashion was birthed from a deep motivation to address the community canker of plastic and fabric waste and the urgent need to save our oceans and make our land fertile for farming. Operating under the brand name PLAGS by MLC, the company was founded by Mary Lancelot in 2019. While still in tertiary education, Mary began by altering and creating dresses for her peers. Upon graduation, rather than joining the ranks of unemployed youth, she chose to forge her own path. Inspired by her father's concerns about the rampant plastic waste in their community, Mary envisioned a solution that combined her skills with a mission to tackle this pressing issue.

Her innovative approach to sustainable fashion has not only provided stylish alternatives but also significantly reduced plastic waste. Mary’s journey from a solo entrepreneur to a leader of a growing team exemplifies resilience and dedication. Today, MLC Fashion is not just a business; it's a movement that inspires others to embrace sustainability and make conscious choices. Over the past few years, we have expanded our operations, increased our team, and continued to make substantial strides in promoting sustainable fashion and environmental stewardship.
